Building a Digital Presence From the Ground Up

How we took a skilled local repair shop from nearly invisible online to a search-ready foundation built to bring in customers.

Northern Rivers Caravan Repairs had the one thing you cannot teach: they were genuinely good at the work.

What they did not have was any real way for new customers to find them online. Their digital presence was working against them, not for them.

We stepped in and fixed it from the foundation up.

Quality work, yet almost invisible online.

Northern Rivers is the kind of business we exist to help. Real skill, loyal customers, and a reputation earned the hard way. But when we looked under the hood of their digital presence, the problems were stacking up.

Their business was competing with itself on Google. Duplicate and conflicting listings across Google Maps and Google Business Profile meant that when someone searched for them, the search engines did not know which version to trust. Their address, hours, and phone number did not match from one place to the next. Every one of those inconsistencies was a chance for a ready-to-buy customer to give up and call a competitor instead.

The website was not helping either. An independent SEO scoring tool, SEOptimer, graded the site a D-. Pages loaded slowly, the site was not structured in a way search engines could read, and the copy did not clearly tell visitors what the business did or why they should call. A customer who did manage to land on the site often left without a clear next step.

In short: a great business was losing online to shops that weren’t better than them; their competitors were just easier to find.

A full digital foundation, rebuilt from scratch.

We did not patch the problems. We rebuilt the foundation so the business could actually grow on top of it. Here is what that looked like.

  • We cleaned up their presence on Google. We verified the business with Google, eliminated the duplicate listings, and merged the competing profiles into one source of truth. We corrected the business name, address, and phone everywhere they appeared so the shop stopped competing with itself. Then we added professional branding and real workshop photography so the profile actually looked like a business worth trusting. We also claimed and secured their Yelp listing to give them control of their reputation across the platforms that matter.

  • We rebuilt the website's technical foundation. We did real keyword research to understand what their customers were actually typing into Google, then restructured the site around it. We fixed the on-page SEO, organized the page headings properly, cleaned up the behind-the-scenes data search engines rely on, and compressed the images so the site loaded faster. We added internal links to help Google understand and trust the site.

  • We gave the site room to grow. We designed and launched six brand-new pages so the site was actually built for bringing in customers, not just sitting there. We rewrote the outdated copy into clear, direct language that tells a visitor what the business does and what to do next. And we integrated clean, high-quality images throughout, so the whole experience finally matched the quality of the work itself.

From a D- to an A

The headline result is simple and independently measured. That same scoring tool that graded the site a D- at the start graded the rebuilt site an A.

Here is what we delivered:

  • SEO grade lifted from D- to A, scored by an independent third-party tool

  • One consolidated, accurate Google presence, replacing the duplicate listings that were splitting their visibility

  • Six net-new website pages, built to bring in and convert customers

  • Faster load speeds and a search-ready site structure, so the business can finally be found by the people looking for it

  • Clear, customer-focused copy and professional imagery across the primary pages

This was foundational work, the kind that does not always make a flashy headline but determines whether everything you do afterward succeeds or fails.

Northern Rivers now has a digital presence that works for them around the clock instead of against them, and the infrastructure in place to turn searches into customers.

Why This Matters for Businesses Like Yours

If you are great at what you do but customers cannot find you online, you are not losing to better businesses. You are losing to more discoverable ones. This is a fixable problem, and it is one of the most common ones we see.

A solid digital foundation isn’t always glamorous, but it is the difference between a website that quietly costs you customers and one that consistently earns them.

We built that for Northern Rivers. We can build it for you.
